It was far more satisfying doing my own website, rather than having someone else do it and it being a mystery to me how it worked. Now when I make a change, all I have to do is contact me and tell myself what needs changing. On a more serious note, part of my desire to know how to design websites, was to be able to put my love of photography together with a medium for displaying and sharing it. If it appears I can sell some of the images, all the better; but the main motivation has been to share it. If there was any commercial interest, it was in the architectural genre where I had hoped to create small websites for selling large, estate level homes, the marketing of which would benefit by presenting it on the web in a multiple page portfolio, with it's own email, etc. Well, for a day or two I'm going to appreciate finishing this site and then move on to conquer new virtual empires.
